How it works

A simple routine your team already understands.

Add the request, decide who takes care of it, and move it across the board. Captain Tasks keeps the process visible without adding more meetings or another login.

Four steps

From a loose request to finished work.

The workflow is deliberately straightforward, so a new team can use it without spending days on configuration.

  1. Step 1

    Add the task

Create a task from a board or start while looking at a Shopify product or order. Add the details your team needs.

  2. Step 2

    Assign it

Choose the person responsible, set the priority, add a due date, and use tags when they help.

  3. Step 3

    Track progress

Move the task across the board as the work progresses. Comments keep questions and updates together.

  4. Step 4

    Archive it

Put completed work away without losing the files, comments, Shopify links, or activity history.

A real example

A product page needs new copy.

Someone notices outdated text while checking a product in Shopify Admin. They create a task, assign it to Lea, and set a due date. Lea updates the copy, leaves a comment, and moves the task to Review. Once approved, the task goes to Done and is archived.
